Trailer - 'The Meg'

Trailer - 'The Meg'

I feel like shark movies are making a come back as of late. First there was the unexplained, oddball success of the C-movie franchise, Sharknado (which is not six films deep), then there was the Jaum Collet-Sera thriller, The Shallows, and finally the modest success this past year of 47 Meters Down. Now we have what might be the crowning jewel: The Meg. Here's the trailer:

Yeah, I'll bite. This looks like a dumb, good time. I'm sort of getting a Piranha 3D vibe from the trailer, which if the film turns out to be as self-aware as this trailer makes it look, then this could be the B-movie to end all B-movies. The effects look like they still need some work, but the movies still not out for a while.

The Meg will be devouring helpless surfers in theaters on August 10th, 2018
