Trailer - 'Thor: Ragnarok' Trailer 2
Well, it's Comic Con time, so of course we're getting a glut of superhero movie trailers, and one of them is for the highly-anticipated third installment in the Thor series. Can this trailer top the near-perfect first trailer? Take a look:
I mean, what else can be said? This looks like a great time at the movies. While some of the CGI seems unfinished there's so much going on here that is just pure awesome. I love the interactions between Thor and the Hulk, I love what I'm seeing of Hela and we even get a quick glimpse of the gargantuan Surtur. What's not to like? Well, there are a few things I don't like, but they're merely nits.
For one, I don't like that this film seems to be borrowing heavily from Guardians of the Galaxy. While the Thor films have never been Marvel Studio's best, I liked that they were more fantasy and less sci-fi. This one seems to be full on sci-fi, which means there's a lot of stuff in here that looks like things I've already seen in the Marvel Universe. Two, this looks to rely heavily on humor, which is fine and means it will likely be a great time, but I sort of wish we could see the more serious version of Thor from the comics. Oh well, maybe next time.
Still, I'm super excited to see what is in store for us lucky moviegoers this fall when Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters.
Thor: Ragnarok arrives in theaters on November 3rd, 2017.
