Trailer - 'Mortal Engines'

Trailer - 'Mortal Engines'

I've been a fan/follower of everything Peter Jackson has attached his name to ever since he directed my favorite films of all time: The Lord of the Rings. Now the trailer for Mortal Engines has released, and while it's only produced and written by Peter Jackson (the directing honors go to his good friend and collaborator Christian Rivers), it still has his stamp on it. Take a look below:

If Christian Rivers and Peter Jackson were to take a stab at a post-apocalyptic Mad Max film, this is exactly what that would look like. While there is a concerning amount of CGI on display, I love how un-spoilery this trailer is. The trailer does just enough to establish what kind of world this is (one with moving cities that feed off of smaller weaker ones) and it made me want to know more. Hopefully going forward the film's marketing will continue to keep the premise and plot somewhat elusive because I would love to go into this film completely cold.

Mortal Engines rolls into theaters on December 14th, 2018
