Trailer - 'Moana'

Trailer - 'Moana'

Disney's been on quite a roll with their latest animated offerings. They crossed the billion-dollar mark with this year's Zootopia, which is incredible considering that that's a completely new IP. Before that they scored slam dunks with Frozen, Big Hero 6 and Tangled. Now they've got Moana, which looks like it will also deliver and has some absolutely splendid-looking visuals, take a look at the new trailer:

This journey of demi-gods in the South Pacific looks like a fun adventure. That being said, the trailer didn't really reach out and grab me. I'll attribute this to the marketing team focusing its attention mostly on families, which makes sense. I'm loving the voice talent on display, especially since there's a good number of people I've never heard of before, and then there's the Rock, who is always a welcome personality. I have learned not to judge most family-targeted movies based on there trailers as I've been surprised by a good number of films in the past. I'll definitely be checking out Moana when it releases in theaters on November 23
