Stephen King's 'It', 'Salem's Lot' and 'Cat's Eye' Are Coming to Blu Ray for the First Time

Stephen King's 'It', 'Salem's Lot' and 'Cat's Eye' Are Coming to Blu Ray for the First Time

It's about damn time. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love my blu-ray collection and that I have a great appreciation for the horror genre. I've been waiting for both Salem's Lot (1979) and IT (1990) for quite some time. Both of these films scarred me when I was way too young to be watching them, and they both contributed to my fascination and enjoyment of the horror genre. There are two strikingly terrifying scenes that come to mind; Pennywise staring up from the street drain in IT and the scene in Salem's Lot where Danny, one of the vampires, scratches on Mark's window in the middle of the night. I'm neither here nor there on Cat's Eye (1985), but I'll probably give it another shot as well, seeing as how I really don't remember it.

These new blu-ray releases come with updated high-definition picture and an array of special features exclusive to each release. Each film, or miniseries, if you choose to view them that way, will have commentaries, and Salem's Lot will have a brand-new commentary from Director Tobe Hooper.

You will be able to purchase these films for yourself on September 20th.
