Trailer - 'Dunkirk'
I feel like every big director makes a war-time movie at some point in their career. Kubrick - 'Full Metal Jacket', Oliver Stone - 'Platoon', Francis Ford Coppolla - 'Apocalypse Now', Ridley Scott - 'Black Hawk Down', Stephen Spielberg - *deep breath* 'Saving Private Ryan', 'Schindler's List', 'Band of Brothers' and 'The Pacific', there's tons more but you get the idea. Anyway, It was only a matter of time before Christopher Nolan added his name to that list. Here's the first teaser trailer for 'Dunkirk'.
As was to be expected there's a good amount of beautiful photography on display here. 'Dunkirk' tells the true story of Operation Dynamo where allied troops were evacuated from Dunkirk after being surrounded by Germans. The teaser has a sense of impending doom as soldiers look to the skies, hearing the ominous sounds of war planes encroaching on their position. I'm intrigued to see how Nolan handles this film and if it's a success, could it be one of the films we see nominated for best picture? I definitely wouldn't rule it out. I'll have to see more, but this is a good teaser that definitely peaks my interest.
