Box Office Predictions - 'Incarnate'
This is that week where just about nothing comes out because studios know that any film they try to release will get steam-rolled by whatever massive film came out during the Thanksgiving holiday period. We have one release that is technically wide this weekend, and that's Brad Peyton's Incarnate starring Aaron Eckhart...which I have never heard of until this day.
Incarnate (High Top Releasing)
Prediction: $1.5 million
I just watched the trailer for this film for the first time and guess what? It's another exorcism film...but wait! There's a twist! Instead of getting a priest to exorcise the demon they hire a man to take care of the possessed patient by getting into their mind and removing the source of the problem.
This is another Blum House production so it likely only cost around five million to produce, but still, this is probably the worst time that someone could have released this film. Like I said, I haven't seen any promotional material for this movie and with a generic premise like this one has, it doesn't stand a chance. My prediction for Incarnate is $1.5 million for the weekend.
Check back in on Monday if you actually care about how this film performs. That day will likely be more focused on the holdovers and how well Moana and Fantastic Beasts are holding up post-Thanksgiving holiday.
