Dollar Review-Zombie Apocalypse: Escape The Undead City
Fifty cents. That's how much this game costs and how much I spent on it. It's not even worth that much.
Besides having the most generic name, Zombie Apocalypse: Escape The Undead City also has the most generic and uninspired gameplay. The entire premise revolves around getting a car upgraded to leave an unnamed city and in order to do so, the player must kill hordes of zombies and collect parts in hidden item puzzles.
It all sounds fine and dandy until you actually play it. It's a point-and-click adventure (?) but there are no crosshairs when firing at the zombies, just your mouse cursor, and they run at you so fast and you're clicking the mouse so fast, you're not sure whether the game is registering every click. The zombies are just one design copied and pasted throughout, which gets tiresome quite quickly.
The hidden image puzzles are not at all fun or inventive either. You're given a checklist of what to look for and you must simply spot the item, click it, and it'll be added to your inventory. The necessary items also look juxtaposed on top of the background image so you can easily spot which items you're looking for. It's so simple, as there are no consequences to wrong guesses you can click as many times as you want, that you can just click random images and solve the puzzle faster than you would actually looking for the items.
Even for fifty cents, I do not recommend this game.
