Trailer - Bioshock Remastered
2K Games just released a very brief glimpse at what we can expect from the upcoming Bioshock remaster. The teaser shows us just how much of a graphical upgrade the game will be receiving. Whether you're on board with all of these remasters or not, t it cannot be denied that the game looks gorgeous and has received a significant bump from it's already-beautiful original version.
I have a problem with remasters that barely seem to have been upgraded at all and charge an arm and a leg. Dishonored and Borderlands received underwhelming upgrades in my opinion, even though they were great games. They're basically really late and slightly better "game of the year" editions. Then there are the games that really just need to stay in the past. Did you know that the mediocre Deadpool game got a remaster coincidentally around the same time the movie came out? Huh, that's not questionable.
This however, considering that the price is somewhere in the realm of affordability, is something I can get behind, especially since all three games are included and they are all getting the remaster treatment. Another positive to note is that this remaster actually looks noticeably better and is more in line with what the Skyrim remaster is promising than, say, the Darksiders or Devil May Cry remasters.
Bioshock: The Collection will release on PS4, Xbox One and Windows on September 2016.
