Trailer- Quake: Champions (Updated)
Rocket jumps and railguns galore! The first gameplay trailer for Quake Champions has dropped and it is every bit the nostalgic trip and glimmer of hope I’ve been holding onto since Quake 3:
Maintaining what appears to be the same speed and mechanics of classic Quake, Champions seems to hit everything right on the money but no telling of how the namesake comes into play. I can see projectiles fired from gauntlets and even a Slash-like character on a hoverboard but no concrete details from the developer about whether those are character specific abilities. One character does appear to have a bulldozing charge attack so that can be assumed. Time will tell but this has me more than excited for what’s to come from Quake Champions.

While I'm a fan of classic Deathmatch, the introduction of the abilities could be a fun new experience but we won't know for sure until we get our hands on it.
