Pokemon Snap Coming to Wii U Virtual Console This Week In Europe

Pokemon Snap Coming to Wii U Virtual Console This Week In Europe

Nintendo UK's twitter has announced that the N64 gem, Pokemon Snap, will be heading to Wii U virtual console this week in Europe. Having launched in Japan back in April, it was simply a matter of time before Pokemon Snap might make it's way West and with the revitalized interest in Pokemon because of Go, this is the best opportunity for new fans to witness the first 3D introduction of the original Kanto region Pokemon.

While not the Pokemon game many were hoping for on the N64 (Pokemon Stadium would later fulfill those dreams), Pokemon Snap was still fun in its own right. From taking photos of Pokemon in their natural habitats, throwing apples at them to do cool poses, and hoping Professor Oak doesn't give you the J. Jonah Jameson from Spider-Man rating of "Crap, crap...megacrap" when looking at your photos, Snap was great fun for what it was. I'm surprised Nintendo didn't try a new iteration using the Wii U's gamepad and with NX on the horizon, that'll probably never happen but at least we'll still have the original. Now only if it would come to North America.
