Watchmen's 30th Anniversary Boxset

Watchmen's 30th Anniversary Boxset

DC is again releasing Alan Moore’s and Dave Gibbons’s acclaimed Watchmen series, this time in a big ol’ set for $125, probably to coincide with the current Rebirth event of their flagship superhero comics that bluntly hints at the inclusion of the Watchmen into the DC Universe.

Unlike the Absolute Watchmen boxset they released years ago, this edition will be released with all twelve chapters of the book, each as their own individual book, how it was originally released, making this strictly infuriating to take with you anywhere and made for the one poor bastard still upset that the squid wasn’t included in Zack Snyder’s film adaptation. While an intriguing design for the set, it’s still strange why release just the initial series. I know the Before Watchmen run was not positively received by fans but I’d like to pick up a box set with those books along with the original as I haven't been able to check them out.
