Mike is a writer and pop culture junkie based in Austin, Texas. He was a critic for AOL’s TV Squad, where he reviewed many fan favorite genre series, including Doctor Who, Fringe, Torchwood, The Big Bang Theory, 24, Stargate Universe, Smallville and Warehouse 13. Mike also wrote opinion posts and essays for TV Squad and reviews and news for SciFi Squad, Cinematical, Moviefone and Cinemablend. Before becoming an online writer, he edited and reported for daily newspapers in Texas and California.

Mike currently works as a copywriter and social media strategist for an Austin e-commerce company. He also writes for Badass Digest, the badass pop culture blog published by Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas. So that’s pretty cool.
